Responsibilities:
- Customer Engagement & Business Development
- Serve as a primary point of contact for aerospace and military customers
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customer stakeholders, including buyers, engineers, and program representatives
- Represent and “sell” the company’s capabilities in a professional, consultative manner
- Identify opportunities to grow business within existing customer accounts
- Support ongoing customer communication to ensure alignment, satisfaction, and long-term partnership development
- Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with internal sales, engineering, leadership, and production teams to align on customer needs and deliverables
- Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams to ensure clear communication and execution
- Support coordination across functions in a matrixed environment without direct authority
Qualifications:
- 3–10+ years of experience in business development, program support, or government contracting environments
- Experience working with aerospace, defense, or military customers (prime or subcontractor environment preferred)
- Familiarity with CMMC Level 2 requirements is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven ability to build relationships and operate effectively across multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work in a collaborative, matrixed environment without direct authority
- Professional presence and communication style suited for high-level customer interaction
- A polished, professional communicator—not a transactional salesperson
- Someone who can build trust, develop relationships, and grow business organically
- A self-starter who can expand upon an existing foundation and help drive long-term success
- A team-oriented individual who can effectively connect customers with internal capabilities
