These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.
The Analyst – Income Tax is a key member of the tax team, responsible for preparing quarterly income tax provision and ensuring compliance with all income tax reporting requirements. The role has primary accountability for the tax depreciation and lease process, with a specialized focus on aircraft assets and preparation of related book-to-tax reconciliations. In addition, this position supports tax forecasting activities, contributes to special projects, and collaborates closely with team members to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant results across all tax functions. This is a Chicago-based, hybrid position that requires weekly in-office work.
Prepare ASC 740 income tax provision calculations and related disclosures
Prepare federal, state, and local workpapers and tax returns
Create multi-year income tax projections to support strategic planning and forecasting
Conduct research, planning, and analysis on diverse federal, state, and international tax matters
Support foreign tax compliance processes, including preparation of FBAR workpapers and forms
Calculate quarterly estimated tax payments
Prepare fixed asset and lease tax workpapers — including rollforwards, depreciation schedules, and gain/loss schedules — utilizing BNA software
Prepare fixed asset and lease tax projections for long range planning
Partner with Corporate Accounting to gather data and ensure accurate and timely reconciliations
Liaise with external auditors, coordinating and fulfilling data and documentation requests

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
1-2 years of corporate tax or public accounting experience (inclusive of relevant internship experience)
CPA certification
Proven ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, balancing independent tasks with effective team collaboration
Exceptional analytical skills and keen attention to detail
Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and a strong work ethic
Skilled at independently identifying and resolving issues to ensure accurate, consistent results
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Adept at managing multiple priorities and deadlines across varied reporting lines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and other MS Office applications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Experience with OneSource, Alteryx, BNA Fixed Assets, and Oracle
The base pay range for this role is $64,885.00 to $84,514.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
