Contract professional supporting the Defense & Systems business contract life cycle including cradle to grave contract management and critical product line partnership duties in government and commercial contracting environments. The Defense & Systems Contracts Team is the primary focal to government, airframer and commercial procurement customers and accountable for contracting actions across all phases of a Program: proposal strategy, solution development, production, sustainment and closeout. The Contracts Team provides expert knowledge in customer relationships and regulations, contract terms, price and profit negotiation, risk analysis and mitigation strategies, and scope and change management. Roles and Responsibilities
- Support of various contracts (fixed price, cost reimbursement, prime, sublevel, Part 12/15, production, etc.)
- Cross-functional collaboration to assess and disposition FAR and DFARs requirements and commercial terms and conditions for solicitations and contracts
- Contract life cycle support for multiple programs including solicitation assessment, proposal strategy and compilation, audit and negotiation, contract operation and change management, customer relationship maintenance, administration of claims and disputes and contract closeout
- Commitment to compliance, quality and timeliness
- Participation in special projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college
- 3-5 years of experience in government, commercial or international contract formation and execution
- Experience with administration of commercial terms and conditions, Federal Acquisition Regulations, with emphasis in Parts 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and DoD Supplement
- Periodic travel required
- Ability to obtain security clearance
