We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Professional to join our team. The EHS Specialist serves as a key support to the EHS Leader, acting as an integral part of the team to ensure the highest standards of EHS practices. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter, who will be highly visible on the shop floor. They will assist in creating and updating policies, providing strong EHS support to the team, and stepping into leadership responsibilities as needed.Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and help control workplace health and safety hazards.
Assist in injury illness, and near miss tracking, case management, and root cause analysis.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of company EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
Support compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
Conduct regular safety inspections and assist in identifying potential hazards in the workplace.
Help maintain safety documentation, training records, and incident logs.
Assist with delivering EHS-related training and safety briefings to employees.
Track and manage safety supplies, PPE inventory, and signage.
Help coordinate waste management activities and environmental compliance tasks.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience/training in environmental health and/or safety).
At least 1 year experience in a manufacturing and/or warehousing setting.
