The Akima LLC team is in search of a Recruiting Coordinator/Onboarding Specialist to join our team in Herndon, VA!
Responsibilities
- Generate and customize offer letters for selected candidates, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate with recruiters to finalize offer details, including salary, start date, and any additional terms or conditions.
- Distribute offer letters to candidates and facilitate the acceptance process, including collecting signed documents and any required pre-employment agreements for new hires, answering questions and providing assistance throughout the onboarding process.
- Assist in conducting background checks and verifying employment eligibility as required.
- Serve as the cross-functional partner to our recruiting and business teams to help meet hiring priorities and goals.
- Serve as first point of contact for all onboarding troubleshooting requests recruiters, new hires, and hiring managers.
- Facilitate the new hires onboarding, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with HR and relevant departments to schedule orientation sessions.
- Participate in the roll out of new recruiting functionality in iCIMS including development of requirements and user acceptance testing; provide iCIMS recruiter support.
- Become the subject matter expert for the ATS, onboarding process, recruitment process, and recruiting tools
- Escalates any issues and supports, driving exceptional service to our client base (recruiters) and improving upon the current structure.
- Lead by example through following, setting or sharing program management best practices.
- Additional duties and project support as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of recruitment and onboarding processes, including familiarity with applicant tracking systems such as iCIMS.
- Familiarity with HR principles and best practices.
- Hands-on experience providing support for hiring and/or onboarding initiatives.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to effectively communicate.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) with at least three years of recruiting support experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications.
- This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Herndon, VA.
- Occasional travel, on need by basis within United States.
- Available to work 40 hours per week and overtime offered based off of volume of work.
