Chipton-Ross is seeking a Journeyman Electrician for a contract opportunity in Torrance, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

• Requires several years of experience after completing a formal apprenticeship program.
• A journeyman license or certification is a requirement, depending on the specific trade and location.
• A strong understanding of the principles and practices of specific trade is essential. Ability to calculate/determine power, amperage & voltage of new equipment and current equipment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and dependability is important.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, repair, and maintain systems and equipment specific to trade (e.g., electrical systems)
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and use expertise to find efficient solutions.
• Analyze blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to understand project requirements
• Safety: protocols, codes, and industry standards.

Independence and collaboration

• Work autonomously on tasks while also collaborating with team members to achieve project goals.

Often responsible for providing technical guidance to apprentices or less experienced technicians.

Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check. Both must clear prior to start date.
