We are looking for an Experienced configuration engineer, mastering both the processes required to setup/perform configuration management activities under standards for use in safety- and mission-critical airborne systems managing and supervising team activities and priorities.
Responsibilities
- Perform all Configuration Management activities including planning, identification, change control and status accounting.
- Supervise HW/SW configuration management activities for avionic equipment designed by Civitanavi, ensuring adherence to standards and corporate requirements.
- Manage and prioritize daily activities of the configuration management team.
- Lead Change Control Board activities during design phase.
- Oversee lifecycle data items produced during the design phase to ensure compliance with standards and company procedures.
- Act as the primary point of contact for CM processes and tools, supporting internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve CM-related issues, even in the absence of predefined procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements and participate in functionality testing.
- Communicate and advocate for CMADS (Configuration Management and Data Systems) objectives and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, electronic engineering, aerospace engineering, management engineering or similar disciplines
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in configuration management activities for aerospace industry (based on SAEEIA-649 standard as a reference)
- Experience in team supervision activities
- Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management tools
- Knowledge of Italian and English Language, both in writing/reading technical documentation and in speaking/listening during project meeting and design reviews
- Experience in avionic software certification
- Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter PLM
- Familiarity with SAP ERP, JIRA, Bitbucket
- Knowledge of software development life cycle in accordance with avionic standards (RTCA DO-178C): planning, requirements, design, development, integration, verification, conformity
- Knowledge of Complex Hardware development in accordance with RTCA DO-254 and EASA AMC20-152A standards
