Role Summary
* The role supports advanced verification engineering within the microelectronics group, contributing to the development of high-assurance FPGA devices for commercial and military avionics systems. The position provides technical expertise in UVM-based verification, early adopter technology development, and robust digital design validation. The work enables critical customer missions and supports the creation of secure, high-integrity avionics solutions across multiple programs. Education & Job Requirements
* You must have
* A Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
* A minimum of 3 years of FPGA or ASIC UVM or UVMF experience supporting high-assurance or safety-critical applications.
* Regular and predictable attendance.
* The ability to relocate at your own expense if applying from out of state.
* The ability to support on-site work at the designated location.
* The ability to work in a non-managerial, non-leadership role. Preferred Skills
* You will have
* A Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering.
* Experience leading ASIC or FPGA verification teams to deliver high-reliability solutions on schedule.
* Proficiency with modern FPGA development and version-control tools in a Linux compute-farm environment.
* Experience verifying FPGA or ASIC designs in accordance with DO-254 Design Assurance Level A or B.
* Experience verifying FPGA or ASIC designs in a cyber-secure development environment.
* The ability to create FPGA verification documents for high-assurance applications, including verification plans and cross-reference matrices.
* Proficiency with version-control or production-release systems such as Git, ClearCase, or Teamcenter.
* Experience with aircraft avionics systems.
* Experience with DOORS for requirements management.
* Experience with traceability tools used in FPGA development.
* Military service experience. Job Duties & Functions
* You will be able
* Perform UVM advanced verification on single- or multi-FPGA programs within teams of FPGA designers, verification engineers, and project engineers.
* Support FPGA development projects requiring early proof-of-concept efforts and high-assurance or safety-critical designs requiring very high reliability.
* Collaborate with system, hardware, software, and FPGA engineers to interpret system requirements and flow them down into a complete verification architecture.
* Drive rigor and robustness into early adopter technologies to ensure suitability for high-assurance avionics solutions.
* Participate in lab-integration activities across system, software, hardware, and FPGA environments to replicate and resolve unexpected behaviors.
