The Role

As an Industrialisation Engineer at Safran Electrical & Power you will play a key role in developing and approving a number of manufacturing engineering processes. You will utilise your process improvement capabilities to advance and share best practices with a number of key stakeholders. You will ensure the latest technology is successfully implemented into these practices, helping to improve takt time, cost and quality.

•tAct as the focal point for Program and Operations Managers, acting as a key interface with engineering experts.
•tShare and develop best practices across the site and division as appropriate.
•tEnsure design considerations are correctly taken into account in the manufacturing process.
•tTake the initiative in liaising with a host of suppliers regarding product & process information and development.
•tProvide approvals for a number of manufacturing engineering processes including SPC, FMEA and technical work instructions.
•tProactively engage with relevant support functions when initiating process based technical investigations.
•tDefine critical values in accordance with engineering requirements.
•tCarry out internal and external audits, managing the development and corrective action plans accordingly.
Job Requirements:

Desirable Experience

We are looking for candidates with a range of skills and experience, but we're also keen to help people grow and develop in this role. If you have some or all of the following, we'd love to hear from you:

•\tAbility to challenge design and manufacturing techniques, ensuring DFM and DTC requirements are met.
•\tHNC or HND in mechanical, electronics or production engineering beneficial.
•\tExperience working within an engineering or component manufacturing environment.
•\tTooling design knowledge an advantage.
•\tAn understanding of the Industrialisation process for new processes and equipment.
•\tPrior experience in leading investigations and corrective action plans to improve process development.
•\tAbility to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
•\tEvidence of written English at interview stage.
