Repair Engineer - Repair & Technical Publication

We were meant to fly.In this role you will develop repairs procedures on Engines, Modules and Components by leveraging on legacy technologies or new ones to achieve the objectives of maintenance cost, performance and life. Moreover, you will oversee supporting Avio Aero Repair Stations in improving Shop Productivity Targets. You will be part of Avio Aero Repair and Technical Publication team within the Services Technology organization.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop Repairs for Engines, Modules and Components, in order to achieve the objectives of maintenance cost, performance and life

  • Identify and develop new repair technologies and creative application of existing, to address business needs

  • Define and coordinate the substantiation activities (design, analysis, testing, etc…) needed to demonstrate airworthiness of serviceable or repaired components

  • Ownership of Technical Publications relevant to engines, components or Sub-assembly

  • Support Avio Aero Repair Stations in improving maintenance costs and TAT and in the solution of technical problems deriving from the repair processes and technologies

  • Promote the “concurrent repair design” with the Avio Repair Stations

  • Use of design tools: 2D / 3D CAD as Unigraphics, and in-house SW’s

  • Use of Tech Pubs creation/editing tools

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Master’s degree in mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university

  • Sense of ownership, attitude for collaboration, proactivity

  • Good technical skills

  • Good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills

  • Clear thinking and diligent approach

  • Proficiency in Italian and English language

  • Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required

Desired Characteristics

  • Curiosity and passion for in service aviation engines

  • Passion for mechanical design

  • Good materials and special processes knowledge

  • Previous experience in Aerospace Design

  • Previous experience in Repair Engineering

  • CAD tools knowledge
