SITAs Aircraft Business Unit makes flight operations, air traffic management and aircraft maintenance more sustainable and efficient by enabling collaboration between people and organizations in the air transport industry through:

ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
•Develop and execute detailed test plans and test cases following the instruction from European Quality Insurance
•Design and implement automated testing strategies to improve test efficiency and effectiveness.
•Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure minimal defects in production.
•Collaborate with European development teams to identify and resolve issues swiftly.
•Analyze project requirements to develop comprehensive testing strategies.
•Execute performance and load tests to identify potential bottlenecks.
•Monitor and report on quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
•Lead bug triage sessions, prioritizing issues based on project timelines and impact.
•Ensure formal documentation of the features with the support of the team.
•Collaborate with the Manager Test and European Quality Insurance to ensure the best product quality.
Qualifications
Key Responsibilities
- Lead automation implementation across multi-platform applications, ensuring automation stability and reliability across environments and releases
- Build, maintain, and evolve regression automation suites to expand testing scope, coverage, and reliability while reducing manual execution effort
Apply shift-left testing practices by initiating automation early in the development lifecycle - Drive cross-product automation initiatives and ensure consistency across projects
- Collaborate closely with QA, Development, and Product teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities
- Perform manual testing when required, including:
->Writing and maintaining high-quality test cases covering critical business flows, edge cases, and negative scenarios
->Executing API testing using tools like Postman for request/response validation
->Analyzing and validating data across systems to identify defects and inconsistencies - Actively contribute to automation planning, execution, and future platform initiatives
- Demonstrate strong ownership and leadership by proactively identifying risks, driving solutions, supporting releases, and guiding the team towards timely and high-quality delivery
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in Java and Java-based automation frameworks
- Solid understanding of Angular-based applications (from a testing and automation perspective)
- Solid understanding of REST APIs and backend validations
- Experience in handling dynamic XPath strategies for robust and maintainable UI automation
- Good working knowledge of SQL / MySQL, including writing medium to complex queries for data validation and analysis
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, with clear understanding of Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, Retrospective)
- Hands-on experience with test and defect management tools such as JIRA and TestRail
- Ability to take ownership, proactively drive tasks, and work independently
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in mobile application testing (Android / iOS), mobile automation frameworks, and exposure to JavaScript and C++
- Advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills within complex, domain-driven or integrated systems
- Mentoring & team leadership experience
- Ability to leverage AI-assisted tools to improve automation scripting, test design, and productivity
