The Aviation Cabinet Builder is responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing aircraft interior cabinetry and woodwork in accordance with design specifications, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations. This role requires precision craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of materials, including wood, composite panels, veneers, and laminates.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble aircraft cabinetry, storage units, and interior fixtures according to engineering drawings and specifications
- Work with wood, composite materials, laminates, veneers, and metal hardware to create high-quality interior components
- Measure, cut, shape, and join materials using hand tools, power tools, and CNC machinery
- Sand, finish, and prepare cabinetry surfaces for final installation
- Collaborate with interior installers, engineers, and designers to ensure proper fit, function, and aesthetics
- Inspect and verify all work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with FAA and company standards
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, following all safety protocols
- Document work performed and report discrepancies or deviations to management
