Role Summary/Purpose
GE Aviation is looking for a Computer Science student to work with local GEIQ Business Solutions Team, generating and facilitating digital web-based solutions to fulfill Engineering, Operations and Finances teams’ needs.
Essential Responsibilities
Generate Software and Data solutions (dashboards)
Business specific web application development and maintenance
Collaborate with development team to optimize applications performance and improve software quality.
Apply principles for Software Engineering and Agile/Scrum methodologies to deliver highly reliable and scalable solutions
Project management of assigned tasks
Project documentation
Qualifications/Requirements
Studying bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or related fields with minimum 1 year before graduating.
Knowledge of Full Stack Web Development Languages and Frameworks (HTML5, JS, CSS3, Angular, Node.js)
Familiarity in Version Control Systems
Scripting and Automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Strong SQL Knowledge
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
Manage multiple tasks with ability to prioritize activities and promptly raise blocking issues
Effective written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish
