Morson are proud to be working in partnership with Safran to recruit Indirect Buyers to support the Aerospace programme at their Wolverhampton site.

Through our long-standing collaboration with Safran, Morson supports the delivery of critical aerospace and defence programmes by providing specialist engineering talent across aerospace, defence and manufacturing disciplines.
What does the role look like?
Managing the P2P process and associated team across multiple sites ensuring the supply chain team procure fit for purpose materials and services at the most competitive cost. Ensuring requisitions are prioritized and processed in a timely accurate manner and in compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
Business Partnering/Stakeholder management
- Provide support to internal customers to help them understand the ordering & approval process, how to get it right first time and how to get best value from suppliers.
- Support the business to resolve escalated issues with suppliers.
- Ensure continuity of supply with defined quality standards
- Encourage the business to use the preferred suppliers and identifying opportunities from requisitions to channel spend to the preferred suppliers.
- Ensure procurement policy, processes and spend compliance rules are followed.
- Deliver value/procurement performance targets as per team and personal targets
Supplier Management
- Obtain competitive quotations and renegotiate price & payment terms where possible.
- Analyse supplier performance and ensure we have in place key metrics alongside action plans with suppliers to improve performance.
- Define and develop innovative ways in which to cooperate with suppliers to develop sustainable added value potential.
Continuous Improvement
- Utilize expertise to identify and recommend innovation/CI opportunities alongside key stakeholders.
- Carry out continuous improvement and efficiency reviews within the value streams and functional groups with defined action plans detailing accountabilities and timelines
Essential Skills
- Able to influence stakeholders at all levels in the organization, with excellent communication skills
- Excellent supplier relationship management skills
- SRM & SAP system experience preferred
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Drive and ability to work independently
Educational Requirements
- Degree or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
- Certified by MCIPS (preferred but not essential)
- Fluency in Microsoft Office or similar spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications
- From time to time the successful candidate may be required by the Company to perform other tasks, which are not included in the above description, but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given
