The Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) Assembly Specialist is responsible for the assembly and production of digital and print ready Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) publications. This includes extracting aeronautical information and data from various sources, analyzing this information, and applying as required to affected publications. Information must be published according to the ICAO mandated 56-day cycle.Job Description

Key Accountabilities:
Coordinate Aeronautical Information amendments that affect AIM publications.
Analyze Aeronautical Information/data.
Apply / Verify analyzed data to publications.
Provide Technical Support.
Develop and provide Assembly Specialist training / mentoring.
Develop new Assembly Processes.
Initiate and resolve Business Management System (BMS) requirement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Education:
Experience:
Experience in using COTS cartographic, publication and charting software applications and Geographic Information Systems tools such as Framemaker APS, Smartglobe and GeoMedia.
Experience leading or participating in projects.
Experience in the area of production and/or data management.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of Geographic Information System (GIS).
Knowledge of the AIM Assembly Manual, AIM assembly product specifications and product distribution.
Knowledge of BMS Reporting System BMS/BRS.
Knowledge of cartographic tools and cartographic Convention AIXM/AICM.
Knowledge of AIM Software and Systems (MAPublisher, MicroStation, Fame Maker, APS, SmartGlobe, GeoMedia, Graphical Viewer).
Knowledge of legislative, regulatory, and industry standards including ICAO and Transport ISO 9001, as well as other AIM publications.
Abilities:
Ability to effectively plan, organize and lead projects.
Ability to monitor program initiatives, studies and research.
Ability to work in and create a productive cooperative work environment
Ability to analyze complex situations and identify and resolve technical problems.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
