Location: Onsite in Greenville, SC Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00–4:00 / 7:30–4:30 / 8:00–5:00 / 8:30–5:30) Pay Rate: $61.71/hour
About the RoleAs part of the Design Liaison Engineering (DLE) team, you’ll provide direct mechanical engineering support to global supply chain partners and manufacturing facilities. Working within the Annular Hot Gas Path team, you’ll analyze and disposition hardware deviations, collaborate closely with suppliers and factories, and drive design improvements that enhance quality, cost, and manufacturability.
This role offers meaningful technical ownership, real‑world problem solving, and daily collaboration with cross‑functional engineering teams on highly complex rotating machinery.
⚙️ What You’ll Do Day to DayApply mechanical engineering fundamentals to resolve manufacturing issues on gas turbine hot gas path hardware (blades, nozzles, heat shields, and more).
Analyze and disposition deviant hardware, delivering sound engineering assessments and long‑term solutions.
Lead hardware redesign efforts, revising drawings to improve manufacturability and prevent repeat issues.
Serve as a technical focal point for qualifying new processes, design changes, and second‑source suppliers.
Conduct technical design reviews and support risk assessments at the component, assembly, and system levels.
Follow established design standards and templates, while contributing ideas to improve engineering and manufacturing processes.
Ensure adherence to technical standards, maintaining high levels of quality and accuracy.
Apply gas turbine design knowledge to support functional improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
Foster a collaborative, positive work environment that values quality, urgency, and continuous improvement.
Required QualificationsBachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
(or equivalent relevant experience)
Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross‑functional organization
Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to rapidly shift priorities based on evolving business needs
Working knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and bills of materials
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, methods, and coatings
A mindset that is humble, open‑minded, self‑motivated, and eager to learn
⭐ Preferred QualificationsExperience with non‑conformance dispositioning and deviation analysis
Familiarity with ANSYS, NX, or similar analytical tools
Prior mechanical engineering experience designing gas turbine hardware or similar rotating machinery
Exposure to hot gas path components and high‑temperature applications

Pay Details: $61.71 per hour
