Position Summary
MAG Aerospace is seeking a Configuration & Data Management Specialist who will collect, organize, and interpret data relating to aircraft and product programs. Maintains configuration control of acquisition products and data, tracks configuration changes, coordinates and supports development of Engineering Change Proposals, applies government-instituted processes for documentation, and changes control management and data management.
The candidates will also support and draft program milestone documentation to ensure compliance with all aspects of the DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives. Assess program procedures, practices, philosophies, and documentation for compliance with specifications, contracts, and mission requirements. Attend, participate, support, analyze, provide input, develop, prepare and report on briefs, point papers, reports, correspondence, meetings, conferences, and review boards. Utilize business and technical methodologies to provide support of hardware, software and service acquisition and life cycle management. Manages the Government’s Contract Data Requirement List (CDRL) deliverables within the Integrated Digital Environment (IDE) TopVue and participate in meetings and supporting specified IPTs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Serves as a program analyst in support of the Requirements baseline Configuration/Data Manager for data deliverables.
- Serves in a staff capacity providing Program Managers, Air (PMA) and the respective Integrated Program Teams (IPT) with Configuration/Data Management (CDM) process guidance and a variety of evaluative material needed to plan, execute and monitor the status of their acquisition packages.
- Representative of the Configuration/Data management Team the incumbent is tasked and responsible for providing CM competency guidance and valid/timely analytical data for responsible decision-making in direct support of the configuration change boards and Data requirements Review Board (DRRB).
- Must demonstrate the theory, principles, practices and techniques of material acquisition programs with regard to CM and the areas of configuration identification, configuration control, configuration status accounting and configuration audits as applied to aircraft and weapons system modifications.
- Required to have a working knowledge of related technical data policy and procedures. Configuration Management involves the technical and administrative direction and surveillance to properly identify and control changes to CDRLs within the USG IDE.
- Must have the ability to respond to and implement new acquisition reform changes generated from evolving DoD/ASME/SAE Commercial Practices and NAVIR policies/instructions impacting current CDM requirements/baselines.
- Skilled in providing representation at meetings to include preparing and delivering oral and written presentations containing analyses and recommendations for developing and implementing schedule activity. Assists with CM related technical data policy and procedures for Statement of Work (SOW) and CDRL packages.
- Provide preparation assistance in the creation or modification to SOWs and associated CDRLs for presentation to Data Requirements Review Board (DRRB).

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and Skills
The required skills and knowledge include:
- Progressive experience in managing data and information
- Experience with development and test programs
- Experience with design drawings, engineering changes and notices, and planning/conducting design audits, testing, data controls, data scans, documentation, and training
- Experience in Acquisition Programs and Lifecycle Sustainment Requirements
- Knowledgeable of DoD 5000 and its application
The minimum years of related experience required:
- Three (3) years of relevant experience.
Education
The minimum level of education required is:
- BS or BA degree in Business or "Relevant Technical Discipline".
- Allowable substitutions:
- An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience.
- Six (6) years of relevant experience with no degree.
Other Qualifications
Outside of the above, other certifications, licenses, or clearances include:
- Active Secret clearance is required

Salary at MAG Aerospace is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90000 to $100000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of MAGs total compensation package for employees.
