Job overview and responsibilities
To provide business leadership, operational direction and quality control procedures and ensure that aircraft inspections are carried out in accordance with Federal Air Regulations and the United Airlines Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP) at Line Maintenance Stations. Position is a supervisory member of the Air Carriers Inspection Unit in compliance with 14CFR121.369(8) and 14CFR121.371b and as such has inspection decision authority and responsibility. May support other Air Operators in the performance of maintenance and is responsible to ensure the work performed complies with the customers regulatory and maintenance program requirements. Participates as a partner with overall Maintenance Team to ensure quality systems are in place and effective.
- Monitor and manage Daily Operational plan execution and follow up
- Monitor and control compliance to FAA Approved Required Inspections and other Inspection tasks performed
- Monitor and adjust as necessary the Inspection Unit’s quality performance and controls
- Implement Continuous Process Improvements for processes, tooling and quality systems
- Provide quality process support overall maintenance organization
QualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- High School and post High School Aviation Maintenance Technical Training or equivalent Associate Certificate or Military Aviation Training
- Two years Inspection experience of large transport aircraft
- Experience supervising aircraft maintenance or inspection personnel
- Understanding of Aircraft Systems and structure, Federal Air Regulations, Operator Maintenance and Inspection Program, including Maintenance Procedures and Repair
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- BS in Aviation Maintenance Management, Advanced Degree
- One or more years of experience as a Manager of aviation maintenance personnel of large transport category aircraft
The base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $142,936.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
