POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for safely setting up and machining complex metal components to meet customer requirements, adhering to drawing and print specifications.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate CNC lathes proficiently.
• Utilize overhead cranes as needed for material handling.
• Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers to ensure parts meet specified tolerances.
• Read and interpret prints to ensure adherence to customer requirements.

EDUCATION:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Vocational training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating medium to large horizontal CNC lathes.
• Preferably experienced with Mazak machines and Mazatrol controls.
• Ability to perform basic programming using Mazatrol and Fanuc systems.
• Experience working with long, tubular components and maintaining tolerances of +/-0.001".
• Familiarity with nickel, titanium super-alloys, carbon, and stainless steels.
• Proficient in MS Office; competent in basic computer skills.
WORK CONDITIONS:
• Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery and equipment noise.
• Regular use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Potential exposure to metalworking fluids and chemicals
HOURS: Night shift 10pm – 6am with the ability to work overtime as needed.
