The ideal candidate will have manufacturing process and equipment knowledge with entry to mid-level skillset in programming, database queries, and computer applications.Job DescriptionRoles and Responsibilities:
- Support shop floor to deliver business results while encouraging input from area personnel working within a self-directed workforce (Teaming) environment
- Program and maintain robotic and control systems, including troubleshooting and resolving any issues that may arise
- Provide hardware and software systems engineering support for a wide range of existing measurement, control, and test systems. Support Quality and Manufacturing personnel in continuous improvement efforts
- Collaborate with the Maintenance, Tech, and Quality Support Teams:
- Network all available machines to include in OEE uptime
- Develop and implement machine data-driven preventative maintenance strategies supporting the elimination of waste within the maintenance activities for connected assets
- Manage and support issues with DNC program transfer, serving as the focal for engaging DT or internal support groups when necessary
- Monitor, analyze, identify, and implement performance improvements to increase the efficiency and productivity of our manufacturing processes, including reducing cycle times
- Track and analyze OEE data to identify areas for improvement
- Stay current with the latest technologies and advancements in the field to ensure that systems are up-to-date and operating at optimal levels
- Provide training and support to operators, maintenance, and technical personnel as needed
- Confer with production team, management, quality engineering, and other support staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes
- Support the lean and cultural transformation vision
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience)
Desired Characteristics:
- Basic scripting and coding skills with programming language such as C, Python, PLC programming with the desire to learn advanced techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task and productively manage multiple projects concurrently
- Familiarity with machine networking and connectivity
- Machine intelligent monitoring and connectivity software such as MT Connect, OPC UA, FOCUS
- FANUC robot programming proficiency
- Experience using CAD/CAE modeling software
- Knowledge of ISO/AS quality standards
