Production Facilitator

Working at our Cincinnati Aviation Component Service Center:
Our ACSC facility develops and conducts a wide array of engine component repairs – including rotating parts, complex assemblies and nozzles on 29 different engine models.
Role Overview:
Perform a variety of production-related manufacturing functions such as: open shop orders, issue related repair routers, ensure determined work scope complies with customer specific requirements, maintain primary responsibility for dispatching, tracking and related production control activities for individual or multiple product lines or special projects. Perform initial evaluation on hardware to determine obvious scrap. Able to use electronic tracking system. Assure a continuous flow of both regular and development hardware through the various workstations/processes in order to meet scheduled commitments. Attend and participate in line of balance meeting. Assure that correct material paperwork and parts are available for further processing. Contact vendors (internal G.E. as well as O.V.), purchasing organization, and traffic in order to dispatch work to and from outside locations while maintaining the appropriate paperwork. Ensure lab samples are provided for all requisite processes. Integrate any necessary changes into the production control system and communicate those changes to the appropriate personnel. Perform related duties such as packing, shipping and/or receiving. Maintain related paperwork, records, logs, etc., including shipping documents, stock delivery receipts, incoming and shipping records, DDM logs, scrap logs, PPR’s etc. Translate inventories into appropriate priority lists, furnace schedules, chem room schedules, forecasts, L.O.B.’s, etc. Instruct and train others as necessary. Work to verbal and written instructions. Perform related duties. Ability to maintain production boards as required.
Required Qualifications:
Experience and ability to physically handle, pack and maneuver weight designated to OSHA standards on a sustained basis
- Experience operating material handling and lifting devices, including ability to obtain forklift license as required
- Experience handling multiple tasks at once
- Experience with basic use of computers, applications, and keyboarding (e.g., email, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
- Experience self-directing daily work orders with a minimum of supervision
- Possess strong analytical aptitude with attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of shop math as necessary, including fractions, and decimals
- High school diploma, or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with export knowledge of commercial invoices preferred. (2 points)
- Possess knowledge of creating shop orders- OSB preferred.
- Willingness to work with chemical materials.
- Must be able to do shop math, including fractions and decimals.
- Knowledge of OSB, MRO, SFC System, Router Gen System, Manifest System, and Maximo
- Experience ordering and maintaining supplies of direct and/or indirect materials.
- Possess previous inventory, scheduling, or related experience
