Position SummaryReporting to the Assistant Chief Pilot, the 703/704 First Officer transports thousands of passengers each year. As a pilot, your number one priority is to conduct each flight safely, taking into consideration the comfort of each passenger and on-time performance.Personal CharacteristicsMust be fluent in EnglishHighly flexible, with the ability to respond quickly in a dynamic environmentProfessional and respectful, with a positive work attitudeTimely with a high level of commitment to on-time performance is essentialMotivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamEffective verbal and written communication skillsAble to build and maintain lasting relationships with all departments, business partners and customersSuperior time management skills, multitasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasksHigh level of integrity, confidentiality and accountabilityAble to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective mannerCustomer Service-oriented with a commitment to exceptional serviceStrong problem solving and analytical skillsHigh level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communitiesKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesConduct flights with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual and the Company Operations ManualAssist the PIC in the management and operation of the flight, including participation in the execution of all cockpit proceduresFuel the aircraftProvide a thorough pre-flight/post flight airplane inspection on behalf of the CaptainLoad and secure cargo and freightBrief passengers in accordance with the requirements outlined in the Standard Operation ProceduresFocus on flying skills and knowledge improvement with the intention of one day being ready to assume a Captain positionContinue to meet and exceed the Transport Canada Qualification standards for a PilotPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Education, Experience and CertificationsHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentCommercial Pilot LicenseCategory 1 MedicalCurrent Group 1 Instrument Rating1000 hours total flight time preferredPilots must be fluent in English and be able to demonstrate effective verbal and listening comprehensionAbility to qualify for a WAA (Winnipeg Airport Authority) RAIC security clearanceIndigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an assetWorking ConditionsPhysically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleWork performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditionsAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbsMust be able to work a flexible schedule and be able to travel for extended periods
